BILLERICAY STRIDERS 10k ROAD RACE, sponsored by Fisher Jones Greenwood Solicitor and
Ground Control under England Athletics Rules, Hannakins Farm Community Centre, Rosebay Avenue, Billericay, CM12 OSY SUNDAY 4th NOVEMBER 2018: 9.45am Start

RACE HEADQUARTERS Hannakins Farm Community Centre, Rosebay Avenue, Billericay, Essex, CM12 OSY.

CHIP TIMING We will be chip-timing the race. Please go to the appropriate A-Z desks at Race Headquarters to collect your race number and computerised chip. We will clearly display where you should report and there will be instructions on how to attach the chip to your running shoes. You will need to complete the safety details on the reverse of the race number – pens and safety pins will be supplied. Please allow adequate time for this process. Please note that under UK Athletics rules, the official time is the Gun time. Gun time is the time from the starting gun to the runner crossing the finish line. These will be the only times we will publish. Chip timing will allow the organisers to remove the manual element from recording the finishing times and to provide a faster, more accurate results service.

RUNNERS WORLD the Chelmsford and Colchester sportswear retailer, will be be in attendance for all your running gear needs.

CAR PARKING There is very limited parking at the Community Centre and we would encourage you to car-share wherever possible. We recommend you avoid the Centre and park, considerately, in one of the adjacent side roads. (See the course map on our web site - www.striders10k.billericaystriders.com) . NB Please do not park in the road outside the Centre as this forms part of the course. We also offer alternative car parking one mile from the start, please see the above website.

TOILETS/BAGS There are ample toilets at the Community Centre which will be well signposted. Do not jeopardise the future of the race by urinating anywhere other than the toilets. Please utilise ALL toilet facilities – there is no need to queue if you use the toilets signposted left of the main entrance. You may leave your bags in the main hall which will be attended but we are unable to accept responsibility for security. This year we are also trialling a secure bag drop facility on a first come first served basis, only one bag accepted per runner.

LATE ENTRIES There will be no entries on the day.

NUMBER SWAPS If you are no longer able to run, please do not just give your number to somebody else. If you want someone else to have your place, please contact us and we will change over the details free of charge. We are able to do this only up to the race/transfer closing date of 29 October. Anybody attempting to run under someone else’s name without an agreed transfer will be disqualified and subject to England Athletics sanction.

REFUNDS The race organisers are unable to refund entry fees if you withdraw beforehand or the race has to be cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control.
